On Saturday, February 29th, 2020, The Rotary Club of Chester Celebrated Founder's Night, an evening of celebration and tribute. During this annual event we Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present and Look to the Future. This year's event took place at the Chester Courtyard by Marriott.
After some cocktails and socializing, we started the event like any other, with a welcome, pledge, invocation and toast by various club members. We then recognized some of the club's and member's accomplishments. Rotarian Leanne Rohlk talk about the formation of Rotary and the first four Rotarians.

After a break for dinner, Rotarian Pete Adler talked about the formation of The Chester Rotary Club and how it all started. During the event, our two high school students we sponsored talked about their time at RYLA. Taylor Lyne and Jaylon Roney shared with us the contest RYLA hosted and how the came in both 1st and 2nd place.

Assistant District Governor Shel Douglas then introduced our keynote speaker, District Governor Platt. Our final speaker, President Jacobs gave us some encouraging words and spoke about the future of our club. We closed, as always, with the 4 Way Test and some more socializing. Over all, a great evening to look forward to again.
